Description
An illusive jaguar is caught peeking out of the jungle foliage in the rainforest. Watercolor painting on 140 lb cold pressed paper.
In Mayan legends, the suns journey across the sky and the darkness of night represented the eternal journey of the human consciousness and its transformations. The midday sun was likened to the Eagle, soaring high into the sky. Then in the evening the sun dips below the horizon, and humankind is plunged into darkness where we are forced to face our spiritual challenges and are transformed. The Mayans thought of jaguar as the sun in hiding its spotted skin symbolized the stars in the night sky. This is how jaguar came to be called the "Jaguar Sun." Jaguar is considered the earth father.
Jaguar power is the power of shapeshifting, psychic sight, empowerment, facilitating soul work, and moving in the darkness without being afraid.......
