Description
A Stairs Through The Arch Southwest Square is my watercolor adaptation of a photograph by Joan Carroll taken in Vernazza,Cinque Terre, Italy - which she graciously allowed me to reference. The Southwest has a big place in my heart and inspires a lot of my work from photos,memory and my imagination! I fell in love with Joan's photograph because it reminded me of one of my father's paintings and I just had to play with it! I love that you can imagine whatever you want to be through the archway! The earth tones give it a warm, inviting feeling. This square format is a cropped version of the original painting .
