Description

"In The Wild" is an abstract impression of a giraffe in splashy colors! This gentle somewhat dreamy looking giraffe seemed to call out to me as my first wash was drying! This is not at all what I was intending when I flowed the first golds and greens across the page - I was thinking forest floor and abstract mushrooms,etc! On turning the paper I saw this giraffe peeking at me, no one else could see what I saw! A few added colors,some spots and the eyes and nose defined a bit and my family loved it! I've literally learned to go with the flow sometimes!
Giraffes are exclusive to Africa, and easily identified by their long necks and legs and splotches or spots.Their horns are unique in that they are covered by skin and are never shed like other horned animals do. Giraffes actually have three horns - the third being more off a bump in the center of the head - about where we would imagine a third (psychic) eye.They have very keen eyesight, and are social with one another.The bond between a mother giraffe and its baby is especially strong.They feed on twigs,leaves and buds, using their long tongue to strip the leaves off a branch.
Giraffe is associated with farsighted perceptions - seeing into the future,communication and expression (associated with the throat chakra) Giraffe teaches us to look ahead and to move forward into new situations.
