A pastel study of a terra cotta colored statue that was my father's! I have no idea where it came from or what primitive people made it or what it was styled after.It could be from one of the North American Indian cultures,Central or South American, or at least that's what I've always thought. I've always loved it , the elongated torso,long ears,decorative neck piece or necklace and shoulder decorations - and the wolf/dog looking up at him! - One of my favorite things! I usually work in watercolors but had done a quick pencil sketch that turned into this,as the paper wasn't right for watercolor.
