Description
The inspiration for this vibrant, dramatic and contemporary southwestern art piece came from a photograph I took while visiting Window Rock and the desert southwest - I decided to play with a bright color palette and added the women and pottery from my imagination. In many places that we visited the Native Americans would lay out woven blankets on the ground to display their wares - fine jewelry, pottery etc.My son bought me a beautiful pair of sugilite and silver earrings here at #Window Rock.Window Rock,Arizona is the capital of the Navajo Nation and the seat of it's government. It is also the largest territory of a sovereign Native American Nation in North America. Window Rock is home to the Navajo Nation WWII Memorial, the Navajo Nation Zoological and Botanical Park and the Navajo Nation Council.
This is a square cropped version of my original painting Native Women at Window Rcck. Please view my complete galleries at: http:ellyn-levinson.artistwebsites.com.Thank you for looking!
This colorful abstract watercolor would make a striking addition to any home decor or office decor - especially those with a modern or southwestern theme. Also perfect for a restaurant or pub.I suggest displaying it in a white matt and a black frame.
