Thunder Mountain Mystery is my impressionist style watercolor painting of a stream on the mountainside of Thunder Mountain, Ontario, Canada. I camped there for ten days and did a vision quest not far from this spot.It was a very difficult place to pitch a tent as there was just a thin layer of earth over the rock which was a major portion of the mountain.I didn't have the option of looking for a better place so I resorted to finding rocks as large as I could carry and putting them in my tent to anchor it! Small streams such as this trickle down the mountain and wild blueberries were in abundance (really made not eating for four days during the vision quest that much more difficult!) Luckily we had no run ins with the larger wildlife in the area - especially the moose - though I would have liked to see one.The Thunderbeings are said to be inside the mountain and small sized quartz (I believe) egg-shaped rocks are embedded in the rock banks along this stream.They are said( by the stori...
I have been painting and crafting ever since I can remember. I enjoy experimenting with different techniques in watercolor, and mixing watercolor with other mediums.
