Heron and Egret in Cool Waters is of a mossy creek bed strewn with rocks and fallen tree limbs,winding in and out of the forest,inviting you to wade in the cool after or sit on a rock or lounge in the shade and just enjoy the beauty and the sounds of nature! The perfect spot for these wading birds to find a snack! All sorts of wildlife abound in the area.This tranquil mountain stream is near Round Top,in the Catskill mountain region of upstate New York. The waters of these streams are usually cool - coming from the higher mountains - and down right ice cold in the early spring as I discovered when I first moved here and insisted in wading in the stream running through my friends property! Quiet,secluded places like this are a haven - off the beaten path and so far relatively unharmed by man.There are many such creeks and streams in the area which one may come across walking in the woods or catch a glimpse of from the road. There are some lovely inns and bed & breakfasts in Round Top, N.Y. and surrounding areas.
