Three little black-capped chickadees peek out from the autumn (fall) colors of the maple leaves - like they're playing peek-a boo.
This painting began with stamping the leaf shapes ( my grandson found the huge
leaves and brought them to me ) painted with watercolors onto the paper, a few little brush work touch ups, then after living with it for a few days the chickadees popped into my mind! They're such cheery,friendly little birds, so inquisitive too! I love having them around!
