White wolf scents the air.
Healer and leader,the alpha male.
He raises his head, howling into the wind
A call to his mate.
Icy flakes cling to his fur,
The landscape, a blur of shadowy whites tinted by the aurora borealis, and the wolf are one.
Wolf medicine is the Teacher.Wolf teaches us to learn for ourselves and to pass those teachings on to others without the use of force or fear of punishment. Wolf does not follow a set path from place to place but wanders at will, knowing when it is safe to be alone and when it needs the company of the pack for safety.
Look carefully and perhaps you'll see the shadow faces in the snowy background.
The name Aurora Borealis comes from the Roman word "Aurora" which means "goddess of dawn" and the Greek "Boreas" meaning "North Wind".They are also referred to as the Northern Lights. The Cree call them "Dance of the Spirits".
I saw the aurora borealis years ago in Canada and once while camping. They have fascinated me ever since.
Aurora Borealis is a display of lights created in the atmosphere of the northern hemisphere when highly charged electrons collide with oxygen and nitrogen atoms in the solar wind in the thermosphere. The COLORSseen depend upon the atoms and their height above the surface of the earth (20 - 200 miles). Collisions with oxygen atoms will produce red and green and with nitrogen, blue and violet.
This dreamy, mesmerizing artwork will help you in meditation on the energy of wolf.
