Description
This is based on a photo of a dancer I took at a traditional pow-wow in Cutler,Ontario. He was not actually dancing when he posed for the photo but I positioned him as if he were. While there we were privileged to participate in an Honor dance for the veterans of foreign wars as the medicine man we were with had been a veteran. It was an incredible experience to be able to share in! This painting is dedicated to the memory of my dear friend,mentor and medicine man, Grandfather Cardinal. The turtle rattle in the painting is actually my rattle gifted to me by my son.
